A Specialist Event for Retail Memorial Masons
A two-day event providing the opportunity for memorial masons to get hands on and view new products, materials, machinery and services. An opportunity to network with suppliers, wholesalers and fellow masons.
THE CLIENT BRIEF
TRADEX was first held at the WEC in 2015. This was a specialised event for retail memorial masons with a very targeted brief to meet the needs of this sector. It provided masons with the chance to view new products, materials, machinery and services available. It was also a networking opportunity for wholesalers and suppliers within the industry.
The event attracted over 30 exhibiting companies and more than 500 visitors over the 2 days.
The WEC worked very closely with the organisers and exhibitors to provide a full service package including standfitting, carpet, AV requirements, electrics and furniture.
THE LIVE EVENT
This event was managed very closely between the WEC team and NAMM to make sure that all the elements were planned. The WEC also managed all of the logistics for this event on behalf of NAMM and operated like an extension of the NAMM team itself.
Exhibitors were able to place their orders direct with the venue for fulfillment, meaning this was less workload for the client and also each exhibitor could have a personal contact with the venue for anything they wanted to discuss.
Prior to the event itself and open day was held at the venue so that all exhibitors could familisarise themselves with the venue and meet the venue team.
All staffing was also planned in advance and delivered via the WEC operations manager who was on hand at all times in the planning and delivery of this event.
The event was a huge success, and NAMM returned in 2017 and again in 2019. The specific logistics planning for this scale of event and one point of contact at the WEC throughout the past 4 years has ensured continued knowledge to ensure smooth operations on the day.
